Hello and welcome to my class! I am excited to begin another school year. This will be my third year of teaching. I graduated from Utah State University In 2006 with a degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an ESL Endorsement. I am currently working on courses to complete a Masters in Education with a reading endorsement. I will graduate in May 2009. I am excited about teaching and learning. It is my goal to be a continual learner throughout my life. I would like to help instill that attitude in the children I teach, I hope they leave my classroom with a thirst for knowledge and a love of learning. I will be using many of the new things I am learning in my current classes to better teach your child. I always welcome comments and suggestions. I feel that the best student learning occurs when parents and teachers work together. I welcome any parent help at school and hope you will feel comfortable in our classroom. :)
A little more about me.... I grew up in East Tremonton and graduated from Bear River High School. Upon graduation from USU I married David Shaffer of East Garland. Dave and I currently live in Fielding. Dave is attending USU pursuing a degree in Agricultural Education. We have two very spoiled cow dogs, Max and Sophie. Some of my hobbies include: camping, 4- wheeling, scrapbooking, reading, spending time with Dave and other family, singing, and working on my blogs.
